HomeMed ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Our core philosophy is "Your Data, Your Device." HomeMed is designed as an offline-first application.

• All information regarding your medicines, dosages, expiry dates, categories, storage locations, and custom reminders is stored locally on your device in secure local storage (Hive).
• We do not operate centralized user databases, and we never have access to or sell your personal medicine inventory.

For users who choose to upgrade to HomeMed Pro and enable automated cloud backups:

• Google Drive Integration: HomeMed uses Google Sign-In and the Google Drive API to create and restore encrypted backup files directly inside your personal Google Drive storage.
• User Ownership: Your backup files reside exclusively in your personal Google Drive account. We do not transfer, store, or access your backup data on our own servers.
• Control: You can disable cloud backups or disconnect Google Drive anytime from the app settings.

To provide our features, the app interacts with the following data on your device:

A. Local Inventory Data
Users enter or scan details such as medicine names, dosages, batch numbers, expiry dates, and notes. This data remains on your device (and in your personal Google Drive if backup is enabled).

B. Media & Camera Access
• Camera Usage: Used to photograph medicine packaging or prescription strips to digitize your records.
• Storage: Photos are stored in your device's private app directory and are never uploaded to our servers.

C. App Preferences
Local storage is used to save user preferences, such as selected language, theme, and notification settings.

HomeMed offers optional premium subscriptions (Monthly, Annual) and Lifetime access under HomeMed Pro:

• Payment Processing: All financial transactions are processed securely through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit) on iOS/iPadOS and Google Play Billing on Android. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card or financial information.
• Subscription Renewal: Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
• Managing Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

The app integrates with the following trusted third-party providers:

• Google AdMob: Displays advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect anonymous device identifiers and interaction data to serve ads in compliance with Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Sign-In & Google Drive API: For authenticating and storing user-authorized cloud backups.
• Apple StoreKit & Google Play: For managing in-app purchases and subscription entitlements.

HomeMed requests the following device permissions:

• Camera: To photograph medicine packaging.
• Notifications & Alarms: To deliver scheduled medicine intake and expiry reminder alerts.
• Internet Access: To sync backups to your Google Drive (Pro), query StoreKit/Play Billing product details, and display advertisements (free tier).

Because your data belongs to you:

• Item Deletion: You can delete individual medicine records, photos, or batches at any time within the app.
• Complete Deletion: Deleting or uninstalling the app permanently removes all local medicine records from your device. You can also delete backup files directly from your Google Drive at any time.

Our application does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. We encourage parents and guardians to manage medicine inventory for minors.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or legal requirements. Updates will be published on this page with a revised 'Last Updated' date.
