Effective Date: June 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Notio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile applications (the "User App" and "Admin App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our Services for societies and their members.
A. Information You Provide to Us
• Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, profile picture, and password.
• Authentication Data: We collect authentication information if you choose to sign in using third-party services (e.g., Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In).
• Society Verification: For users creating or managing a society (via the Admin App), we may collect official documents required for verification purposes.
• Content: We collect the notices, comments, likes, and files you upload or create within the app.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
• Device Information: We collect device-specific information such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (including advertising identifiers like IDFA or AAID), and mobile network information.
• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our Services, such as the features you use, the time and frequency of your visits, and your interaction with notifications.
• Location Data: We may collect coarse or precise location data to help you discover nearby societies or verify your address, provided you grant us permission through your device settings.
C. Sign in with Apple Data Handling
• Authentication Services Framework: When you choose to sign in using Apple, we collect your Name and Email Address specifically through Apple's Authentication Services framework. We require this data specifically for user account creation, identity authentication, and society management (e.g., matching you to your specific residential/commercial society). All collected Apple account data is securely transmitted and stored using Firebase Authentication and Firestore database systems, protected by Firebase Security Rules and encryption at rest and in transit.
We use the collected information for various purposes:
• To provide, maintain, and improve our Services.
• To manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• To facilitate communication within your society (e.g., notices, phonebook).
• To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
• To personalize your experience.
• For Monetization: To serve advertisements within the app, which may be personalized based on your interests and usage data (see the 'Third-Party Services & Google Infrastructure' section below).
Our backend infrastructure utilizes Google Firebase. Therefore, the personal data we collect flows through and is hosted on Google's cloud infrastructure. We use the following third-party services for our operations:
• Firebase Authentication: Used for managing user registration, authentication, and secure access to our Services.
• Firebase Firestore & Cloud Storage: Used for hosting our database, storing user profiles, notices, and user-generated media content.
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Used for monitoring app performance, diagnosing app crashes, and collecting anonymous usage analytics to improve our Services.
• Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob uses cookies and mobile advertising identifiers (like Android AAID or Apple IDFA) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. You can opt-out of personalized tracking through your device's privacy settings (e.g., 'Limit Ad Tracking' on iOS or 'Opt out of Ads Personalization' on Android).
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
• Within Your Society: Your name, profile picture, and certain contact information (if you choose to share it in the phonebook) will be visible to other verified members of your society.
• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors (like Firebase for hosting/database services and Google AdMob for advertising) who need access to perform services on our behalf.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal processes, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Notio, our users, or others.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition, your information may be transferred.
We implement reasonable security measures, including Firebase Security Rules, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. If you wish to delete your account, we support a permanent account deletion process in compliance with App Store Guidelines (Guideline 5.1.1(v)).
How to Delete Your Account:
1. Open the Notio App (User App or Admin App) on your mobile device and log in to your account.
2. Navigate to the 'Settings' or 'Profile' section of the application.
3. Tap on the 'Delete Account' option.
4. Confirm your deletion request when prompted. The deletion will execute automatically.
Alternatively, you may request account deletion by emailing our support team at devasyainnovations@gmail.com. Once your request is initiated, we explicitly guarantee that all your Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including your name, email address, phone number, and society membership records, is permanently scrubbed and deleted from our Firebase database and authentication servers. This process is irreversible, and your data cannot be recovered. Note that some non-PII, aggregated transactional logs or society-specific history may be retained as required by law or for legitimate administrative record-keeping.
To maintain a safe and respectful community, we implement data-driven moderation practices:
• Reports: When a user reports objectionable content or behavior, the report details (including the reporter, the reported user, and the reported content) are logged and securely stored. These logs are reviewed by our administration team for moderation actions.
• Block Lists: If you choose to block another user, this block list is stored securely in your user profile on Firebase. This data is used specifically to filter and tailor your feed experience, ensuring that content and messages from blocked users are hidden from you.
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
